Here are the steps for adding a Builder to your account.
This process will not affect the household setup, and the Primary User will remain unchanged. It simply allows Builders access to your CE system while they are completing work in your yard. Once the project is finished, the customer can revoke the Builder's access directly through the CamerEye app.
First, ensure that the Builder has created an account in the Builders Portal, allowing us to register them with a Builder ID number.
ADDING BUILDER ACCESS
If the Builder has already created a profile in the portal and the customer is ready to add them to the account, follow these steps:
- Open the CamerEye app and tap the menu button (the three horizontal lines).
- Select Manage Users.
- Choose Builder Access, then click Invite Builder.
- Enter the Builder ID from the CamerEye Builder Portal and click Add Builder.
At this point, it's important to confirm that the Builder has set up a Builder Portal account, as you will need their Builder ID Number (found in the Builder's account settings within the portal).
Once the 6-digit code is entered, click Invite Builder.
The app will then show the status as 'Pending.' After the Builder accepts the invite, the user's site will appear in the Builder’s Portal.
REVOKING BUILDER ACCESS
1. Builder Removes Themselves
If the Builder removes their access, you will receive a banner notification with a fun, celebratory animation on the home page of your app!
2. User Wants to Revoke Access Manually
To manually revoke access, go to the Manage Users screen, navigate to the Builder Access tab, select Revoke Builder, and click Confirm.
This will remove the user’s CamerEye system from the Builder’s site profile in the Builder Portal and revoke their account access.
